Delegation led by the dean of Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of International Burch University, Assist. Prof. Dr. Mersid Poturak participated in the first day of traditional conference „Economic Development and Standard of Living“ (EDASOL), organized by Apeiron university in Banja Luka on 26th of October, 2018.
The topic of the conference was „Human Capital, Education, Knowledge, Science, Innovation and Technology“ . This is not the first time that International Burch University is partner to Apeiron in organization of this traditional and important conference.
Dean Assist. Prof. Dr. Mersid Poturak adressed the audience on behalf of International Burch University. He sent warm regards to all participants on behalf of Rector, Prof. Dr. Damir Marjanović who couldn't come due to other important obligations. Moreover, Dean stated that the EDASOL and ICESoS conferences are results of successful partnership between IBU and Apeiron, and invited participants to a International Conference on Economic and Social Studies 2019 (ICESoS' 19) that will take place in Sarajevo at premisses of International Burch University. Emphasizing the importance of „Human Capital, Education, Knowledge, Science, Innovation and Technology“ which is the topic of EDASOL 2018, Dr. Poturak wished successful conference and productive sessions.
The EDASOL 2018 was visited by more than 70 researchers who studied topics within „Human Capital, Education, Knowledge, Science, Innovation and Technology„ from different aspects to provide theoretical and practical solutions. The panel speakers were Dean of Faculty of Economics and Informatics at University of Novo Mesto (Slovenia), dr. Malči Grivec, CIAK representative, dr. Vedran Šupuković and professor Emeritus from University of Belgrade, Božidar Stavrić. The conference proceedings will be indexed in ESCI database.
This event was not only one more successful scientific research cooperation of International Burch University, but also great stepping stone to further improvement and utilization of the cooperation potential.
